Ernie was quite the guy and one heck of a welder.! I have told him more than once that I tell people he could weld wood. In the warmer weather he would set on his front porch and whenever I caught him one the porch I would stop and talk to him. He mentioned many time he was ready to go and be with Rose! Well Ernie you are with Rose so I know you are happy without any pain or sorrow. It was a pleasure to know you and call you my friend.

Ernie, RIP‼️Over two and a half decades, Ernie was a friend and employee. We did many projects together over the years. A shy man, he applied for a handy man job that I had posted. As we discussed my needs and his background, Ernie finally asked what the job would pay. I told him. He replied that he hoped for a little more. He looked me in the eye and said, “I won’t disappoint you!” I hired him on the spot. Never Disapointed. I was at a function and talked to his former employer, Jim Rush, some time later. I said Jim, we have something in common. Ernie Heims! Jim stood looking at me and finally held up his hands with fingers extended. Jim said, “I would have to put Ernie in the top 10 people I have ever known!” Coming from Jim, that said a lot. We talked a few more minutes and Jim held up one hand and said “no, I would have to put Ernie in the top five people I have ever known!” I have to agree. Ernie a great human and good friend. I will miss you Ernie‼️😢
