Elizabeth Fae Holbrook, 81, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at IU Health Arnett Hospital.
She was born November 3, 1944, in Prairie Grove, AR, to the late Joseph and Jewel (Bumbalow) Cagle.
Fae graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK with the class of 1963.
On September 25, 1968, she married Charles Mitchell Holbrook Sr in Tulsa, OK and he survives.
Fae worked many jobs over the years, she was a nail technician, had worked at Radian Research, owned a ceramics shop while living in Florida and also did interior painting.
Fae enjoyed doing nails with her granddaughter and anything to do with crafts and sewing.
Surviving with her husband, Charles Holbrook of Lafayette, IN, are two sons, Charles M. (Judy) Holbrook, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, and Daniel C. (Megan) Holbrook of Lafayette, IN. A sister, Frances Gho of Broken Arrow, OK, and three grandchildren, Cameron (Stephanie) Holbrook, Travis (Beth) Holbrook and Macyn Holbrook.
Fae was preceded in death by a brother, Stan Cagle and a brother-in-law Joe Gho.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 officiating.
