Eileen Mae Oliver, 89, of Lafayette, passed away at 7:18 pm Monday, May 11, 2015 at Rosewalk Village. She was born May 17, 1925, in Brookston, to the late Robert and Cecilia Clark Hines. Eileen graduated from Brookston High School in 1943 and on March 19, 1943 she married Clifford H. Oliver in Delphi. He passed away on March 2, 2003. Eileen had worked for Cedar Crest Hotel, Devon Plaza, Jerry's Cafateria and Howard Johnsons for 35 years before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed Sewing, Gardening, camping, mowing the yard, feeding the birds and her pet Squirrel “Rocky” and attending and shopping at garage sales on the weekends. Surviving are a son, Troy (Donna) Oliver of Lafayette; two daughters, Tina (Steve) Hammond-Martin of Lafayette and Bonnie Brown of Bakersfield, CA. also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN with Pastor Joseph Park Jr officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
