I was so sorry to hear about Dru&s death. My mother Aileen Brookbank and her mother Blanche McFerren were cousins-so Dru was my cousin. We spent lots of time together when we were small and I remember visiting Dru and my Aunt Blanche and Uncle Ike and their dog (black cocker spaniel) in Battleground in the 60&s. Dru was a baton twirler in high school and she was so beautiful. My mother made me take baton lessons because Dru was so good at it - I was not. We have pictures of Dru and my brother and I as kids. As the years went by and everyone got married, moved away from lafayette we lost touch. I regret that. We still sent letters and cards at Christmas. Last Christmas was the last correspondence from Dru.

My condolences to her friends and collegues. She was a consumate professional lady and very sweet person with a big heart.

About Dru,

Dru was a true friend and that alone says alot about a person. She was not a complainer however, struggled with a number of daily & health problems which were beyond what most could tolerate. Regardless, she focused on being a good person & true friend. She will be missed.......

Dear Roth&s

I was sorry to hear about Dru&s passing. We were high school friends and had kept in touch with annual Christmas letters. I considered a dear friend from the past. I dearly loved and admired her mother, Blanche. Dru&s friends were always made to feel comfortable and welcomed.

Dru often mentioned you in her letters so I know she cared about all of you. Thank You for being such dear friends to her.

In sympathy,
Virginia (Ginny) Carpenter

I was so sorry to read of Mrs. McFerren&s passing. I knew her as a young child when I was a student at Otterbein Elementary. I remember her as always having a smile for her students and even spoke to her when my oldest son was in Otterbein. Prayers are with you all.
