Drenda J. Howard

Drenda J. Howard, 80, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Franciscan Health in Lafayette.

Born on August 14, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Dorothea (Back) Cory and later became the stepdaughter of Cyril J. Stock. Drenda graduated with an associate’s degree from Purdue University and enjoyed a long career as a logistics supervisor for TRW.

Drenda was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found great joy in her later years at Aster Place. She cherished the friendships she formed there and actively participated in all the activities, outings, and social gatherings. She especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved cat, Rocket.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Suzy Crover.

Surviving family members include her siblings, Robert Stock (Ann) and Daniel Stock; her children, Laura Lynch (Jeff), Brent Howard (Sheryl), and Craig Howard (Heide); her grandchildren, Amanda Ferguson (Adam), Krystal Reynolds, Joshua Middleton (Sarah), Kayla Seabolt, Clayton Howard, Christian Howard (Mikayla), and Camden Howard; and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
