Dorothy I. Lively, 72, of Delphi, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at St. Mary Health Care.
Born Dec. 29, 1937, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Frank Pantle and Rose Pantle Riley. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School.
On May 16, 1957, she married Charles Lively in Lafayette, and he survives.
Mrs. Lively had worked in production at General Foods and was a housekeeper. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and puzzles.
Surviving along with her husband are three sons, Steven M. Lively of Monticello, Matthew Lively (wife: Cami) and John Lively, both of Delphi; and a brother, Theodore Pantle.
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Charles Lively Jr.
Graveside service 1 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at Seceder Cemetery in Carroll County.

I know at this time there are no words to be spoken to ease your pain over the great loss you have suffered. I would like to let your family know I am terrible sorry and you are in my prayers. I worked with Dorothy for many years at General Foods and she was a dear lady.

To family; sorry to hear about your mom & wife dot was like a mother to me. What can I say about a Wonderful Women, She was a Great Cook,loving ,caring,thoughtful,open minded,creative,pet lover and if she was your Friend you was a Friend for Life. Even thought I was not a biological son,Dorothy and Charles always took care of me as a Son.

Our deepest sympathies for the loss of your wife, mother, and grandmother, and friend. We never knew her very well, but our sons did. They visited quite often at the Lively house. They always knew they were welcome there. She will be missed alot by the ones who loved her.

So sorry for your loss. Just realized that my Grandma, Lillie Pantle-Allen was the sister of Frank Pantle. Didn&t know we were related until now. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. I wanted to make sure and contact you since I sold Smitty&s and won&t see you there.
