Doris J. Cochran, 86, of Lafayette died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East. She was born December 11, 1928, in Lafayette to the late Melvin and Edna Reed Kellenberger. Doris married Bob Cochran and he preceded her in death. She worked at CTS Industries as an Inspector for over 25 years and retired in 2001. Doris enjoyed traveling, boating, motor cycling, going on charity rides and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her children Linda D. Snider (John) of Greenwood, Garry Maxwell (Beverly) of Franklin, step children Rick, Linda and Diane all of the Lafayette area. Also survivng are 6 grandchildren including Bridgette Fullerton, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, a sister Barbara Milligan of Albuquerque, NM, a brother-in-law Richard Graham of Lyons, KS, numerous nieces, nephews and her loving cat Piper. Doris was preceded in death by brothers Leo, Rayman, Tuni and a sister Pauline. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Brad Fullerton officiating. Entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute in Doris's memory to the Almost Home Humane Society.
