Donna Jean Farrell

Donna Jean (Kroft) Farrell, 87, of Lafayette went to be with God on September 8, 2023 surrounded by many loved ones. Donna was born September 26, 1935 on a farm near North Judson, IN to the late Leslie and Helen (Fountain) Kroft.

After graduating from high school in 1953 she worked at a telephone company in Chicago for a short time. Donna was a baker at Sunnyside School in Lafayette for 15 years. However, her full-time job until her days end was taking care of her family with love and support.

Donna has been married to Richard “Dick” Farrell for the past 53 years.

She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing her children’s cloths, mushroom hunting, fishing, canning, traveling and was a strong Republican.

Surviving along with her husband Dick are children, Cindy Wiesjahn (husband Ron) Yike, Carl Wiesjahn and Codie Wiesjahn Parkinson, Ed (Jennifer) Farrell and Danny (Carrie) Farrell, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Frank and Harold Kroft, a son, Curtis Wiesjahn, a daughter, Rose Mary Farrell Jewell and two grandchildren, Dustin and Dillon Jewell.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at St. Mary Cemetery, in Lafayette.
