Donald O. Walton, 91 Donald O. Walton, 91, of Lafayette, IN, died at 9:42 PM Thursday March 14, 2013 at St. Elizabeth East. He was born December 4, 1921, in Lebanon, IN, to the late Delbert and Florence Walton. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School and, then served in the United States Army Air Corps. On July 3, 1943 he married Elizabeth “Betty” Galloway in Lincoln, NE Donald was the manager at Steck's Men's Clothing for 38 Years . He was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and was very active at the YMCA. Donald was also a fan of IU Sports and the Indianapolis Colts. Surviving is a daughter Cindy Rice, of Lafayette Son John Walton, of San Francisco, CA Sister Jeanne Burnstein of West Lafayette Brother Jack Walton, wife Donna of Crawfordsville Granddaughter, Amy Anderson, husband Chad of Ann Arbor , MI Grandson, Adam Rice, Fiance Nicole McCabe of Lafayette and Three Great Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Evan, and Carter Anderson of Ann Arbor, MI. Preceded in death by Parents Delbert and Florence Walton Visitation will be 4-7 PM Sunday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel With Mass 10:30 AM Monday at St. Mary Cathedral Fr. Jeff Martin officiating.
