I was heartbroken to hear about Don Ream's passing. Though it’s been many years, the memories I carry of Don and your family are still vivid and deeply meaningful to me. Don played a huge part in shaping who I became. He taught me how to use my first 35mm camera and sparked my lifelong love of photography. During the ice storm, when my family was without power, your home became a sanctuary. We cooked meals on the coal stove and camped out in the warmth of your living room — and I remember climbing the pine trees in your yard, swaying with the wind like I had no fear in the world. When things were hard at home, your porch — and Don’s quiet walks — gave me the peace and space I needed. I even climbed the town water tower once and told your parents about it, and to my amazement, they put it in their book. That kind of curiosity and encouragement meant the world to me. Don was the kind of person who made a lasting impact without even trying. He made me feel seen, safe, and inspired — and for that, I will always be grateful. Please accept my deepest condolences. I’m holding all of you in my heart. With love and gratitude,
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I didn't know Donn that well, but the time that I did know him, he was kind, polite and generous. Very amazing and caring man. Rest in peace, Donn.
