Donald G. Hauser, 72, of Lafayette, IN died at 4:00 am, Thursday April 10, 2014. He was born January 9, 1942, in Marysville, OH. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a 2nd Lt. Commission with the United States Army Finance Corp. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Poling Hauser. He was a member of the IN American Legion, the 40/8, Oxford United Methodist Church, and an IHSAA football official. He enjoyed golf, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Surviving along with his wife are, son, Douglas Hauser (wife Jenny), grandson George Hauser of Noblesville, daughter, Karen Hauser, of Fort Worth , TX, daughter, Sharon Hauser, in Zimbabwe, Africa, brother, James Hauser, (wife Libby) of Columbus, OH, sister, Becky Bennett, (husband Pete) of Marysville, OH, aunt, Jo Vollrath of Columbus, OH, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Frances Hauser. A memorial celebration will begin Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 5:00 PM and finish at 7:00 PM with a few words and military rites all at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.
