Carlton C. Potts II left a message on December 30, 2009:
My deepest condolences to the family of Donald E. Duncan. Although I did not know him directly, when I read his obituary, I felt that we must have crossed paths before.
He was born May 14th, 1947 in Williamson County, Illinois, and I was born May 6, 1947, in Williamson County. He was born into the Duncan family; my grandmother was Hazel Pearl Duncan, whose relatives are buried in Richardson Hill cemetary, near Mt. Vernon.
We were both Viet Nam war veterans.
I pray that you will have peace at his passing.
God Bless,
Elder Carlton Potts

Our sympathies to you, the children and your grandchildren. Will keep you all in our prayers. Now he is with his brother Bob (Roy). I know he will be sorely missed. A sad day to lose him, but a great day for him to go to be with God, on God&s birthday. Was it cancer? Almost Home is a wonderful place to give to.
