Donald D. Durbin

Donald D. Durbin, 71, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at IU Health Arnett Hospital.

He was born September 10, 1954, in Clanton, AL, to the late Carl and Minnie (Pigeon) Durbin.

He married Judy Clark and she survives.

Donald owned Durbin Maintenance for several years before retirement.

He was a true American bred man. A man who seen the positive side of every tribulation chosen for him to endure. A loving, kind, generous saint. One who grew up living a challenging road that the world offered until he discovered Jesus. That moment gave birth to a man who lived his life with a clean mind, a pure heart and the motivation to handle the challenges that come with becoming a loyal husband and a loving father. A man who truly enjoyed life and adored living for the Lord. His favorite things in life were providing for his family and provided love, support and guidance from Jesus Christ to people in need. He loved morning coffee and reading his Bible. In his spare time, he loved animals, especially his white cat, motorcycles, Alabama Clemson Tide football, and utilizing his sarcastic humor to his advantage as much as possible. He was a man who would drop everything and go anywhere in the country to help his loved ones. He always put everyone before himself. A true man of God with a heart of gold. He will be deeply missed here on earth but Heaven won a true saint. Until we see him again in the words of Don Durbin, “Revival til he comes.”

Surviving with his wife, Judy Yvonne Durbin of Lafayette, is a son, Daniel Durbin of Lafayette, and a daughter, Tera (Tim) Henson of Hopkinsville, KY. A sister, Barbara Durbin of Murray, KY, and a granddaughter, Tatianna (David) Putney.

Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Durbin, two sisters-in-laws, Linda Gipson and Cindy Minton.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Star City Church, 201 Veterans Memorial Parkway E. Lafayette, IN 47905 with Pastor Eddie Robinson III officiating.  Interment will follow at Spring Vale Cemetery in Lafayette, IN.
