Donald Charles Crose, 72 of Lafayette, passed away at his residence at 9:45 am on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
He was born January 14, 1945 in Lafayette to the late Ollethius William and Kathleen June (Leichtamer) Crose.
After graduating from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1963, Donald joined the Army serving from 1965 until 1967 before being honorably discharged.
On May 11, 1969 he married Peggy Joann Smiley at the Methodist Church in Monticello.
Donald served with the local #157 Plumber and Pipefitters Union for 43 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, mushroom hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Surviving along with his wife Peggy are their children, Amy Jo Prill (Scott) of Carmel and Michael C. Crose (Kelsey) of Lafayette as well as five grandchildren, Cameron, Emilie and Evan Prill of Carmel and Ryan and Max Crose of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marianne South and two brothers, Michael and William Steven Crose.
Friends may call from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette with military graveside rights.
