We are deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Jones (aka Jo’s dad) passing. I had the privilege of knowing Jo’s dad first in my youth, and later as a student in Dr. Jones classroom. Two periods of my life shaped in different but equally meaningful ways by Don’s presence. Don’s kindness, intellect, and steady guidance left a lasting impression on me, and on so many others he taught. I will always be grateful for the lessons Don shared. Our sincere condolences to Hiromi and my friend Jo, and all those who were fortunate to know Don.
