Dixie S. Mahrling, 83, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at her home.  She was born November 4, 1939, in Washington, IN, to the late Cecil and Opal (Arthur) Wilson.

Dixie graduated from Washington Catholic High School in Washington, IN.  On October 17, 1959, she married Robert B. Mahrling Jr. in Indianapolis, and he survives.

Dixie and Robert owned and operated H&R Block offices in the Lafayette area for 35 years and retired in 2001.

She was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, playing cards and games.

Surviving along with her husband are her children Ronald B. Mahrling Sr. of Lafayette, Roger B. Mahrling of Remington, Christine L. (Kevin) Mitchell of Dayton, grandchildren Ronald B. (Amanda) Mahrling Jr., Rebecca D. (Bruce) Eaton, Amber S. (Christopher) Navarro, Robert F. Mahrling and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Luella Fidler of Indianapolis and Joy Meade of Washington, IN.  Dixie was preceded in death by her siblings Shirley Wilson, Dolores Moeller, Barbara Briley and Jackie Ray Wilson.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.  Mass of Christian burial will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Lafayette.
