Di Van Nguyen, 62, of Lafayette, died at 9:59 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at St. Elizabeth East.
Born Feb. 12, 1948, in Vietnam, he was the son of the late Dong and Thi Nui Nguyen.
On Dec. 22, 1971, he married Huong Nguyen in Vietnam, and she survives.
Mr. Nguyen had worked as a laborer at Wabash National.
He was a Buddhist and was very active in his religion. He also enjoyed gardening and furthering his education.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Vien Duy Nguyen (wife: Melody McMurry) of Lafayette; and a sister, Thuong Nguyen of Vietnam.
Also surviving is a grandson, Nolynn.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. today, Oct. 12, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909. The family will have burial services in Vietnam.
