Debra K. Johnston

Debra K. (Deb) Johnston, 64, of West Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Wellbrooke of Westfield.

Deb was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Jack and Kathryn (Toburen) Taulman of Columbus, Indiana.

On September 24, 1988, she married Scott Johnston, in West Lafayette.   He preceded her in death on June 18, 2020.

Deb graduated from Columbus North High School in 1977 and attended Purdue University

Deb was retired and had previously worked at Rotech Regional Billing, Home Interior & Gifts and various other jobs throughout her life.

Deb enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue football/basketball, as well as playing games and cooking.

Surviving are her two sons, Tyler Johnston of West Lafayette & Nathan (Madi Donahue) Johnston of West Lafayette, her “favorite” sister Dee (David) Neal, two brothers, Mike (Barb) Taulman and Matt (Michelle) Taulman all of Columbus, Indiana, in-laws Jerry and Nancy Johnston of West Lafayette as well as several nephews, nieces and greats .

She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, Paul and Mildred Toburen and paternal grandparents, Homer and Gladys Taulman.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday January 11, 2024, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette,IN 47909 followed by the service at 12:00pm.   Pastor Dustin Folden officiating.  Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, IN.
