Deborah Jeanne “Debbie” (Boyer) Trella, 61, of Lafayette, formerly of Portage, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born November 23, 1962, in Valparaiso to the late Ralph and Patricia (Bresette) Boyer. Deb was a graduate of Portage High School in Portage.  On January 7, 1984, she married her best friend and love of her life, Jeffrey “Jeff” Trella.  The couple recently celebrated their 40^th anniversary.

Debbie was passionate about finding a cure for cancer and was heavily involved with Relay for Life in many capacities for over 20 years.  She enjoyed Purdue Basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, Disney, and Drew Brees.  She loved spending time with her daughters while they were getting their mani/pedi’s done.  She cherished her family and the time spent at her grandchildren’s many activities.

Along with her husband, Jeff Trella, she is survived by her twin daughters, Kristin (Charlie) Troxell of Lafayette and Heather (Brock Frederickson) Trella of Greenwood; 2 grandchildren, Jersey Troxell of Lafayette and Landen Frederickson of Greenwood; her brother, David (Patti) Boyer of Portage; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Monday, January 15, 2024, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Evangelical Covenant Church, 3600 S. 9^th Street, Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Stacey Littlefield and Pastor Kurt Kincannon officiating.

Interment will follow at Meadow View Cemetery, 3733 Poland Hill Rd., Lafayette, IN 47909.
