Dr. David William Krogmann PhD, 84, of West Lafayette, passed away at 10:34 pm Friday, January 22, 2016 at Heritage Health Care.
He was born October 21, 1931, in Washington, DC, to the late Rudolph and Cecilia O’Dae Krogmann.
David received his Bachelor degree from Catholic University in Washington, DC and his PhD from Johns Hopkins University.
On June 14, 1958 he married Loretta Kurek in Baltimore, MD. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2009.
Dr. Krogmann was Professor Emeritus from Purdue Universities Biochemistry Department, continuing to do research after retirement.
He was a member of Church of the Blessed Sacrament since 1967 and Phi Beta Kappa Society. David enjoyed Photography, Genealogy, History, reading and walking his dogs.
Surviving are two daughters, Michele Krogmann of West Lafayette and Pat Krogmann Of Aliso Viejo, CA, a son, Paul (wife Elizabeth) Krogmann of West Lafayette along with two grandchildren, David and Kelleigh Krogmann.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Cecilia Rounds.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Soller-Baker West Chapel, with a Rosary service at 4:45 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 28th at Church of the Blessed Sacrament with Fr. Ted Dudzinski officiating. Those wishing may contribute to the Heritage Health Care Activities Fund 3401 Soldiers Home Rd.
