David Edward Kantz, 68, of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, April 2023, at IU Health Arnett.

He was born November 26, 1954, in Lafayette to the late Paul F. and Joann (Bossung) Kantz. He was a graduate of Southwestern High School and was the Produce Manager at Payless Grocery Store.

David was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his 2 brothers, Mark (Virginia Walaitis) Kantz of Ocean Shores, WA and Stephen (Lisa) Kantz of West Lafayette; as well 4 nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Kantz; and sister-in-law, Lu Kantz.

David was a person with a heart of gold. He was a person that took the things life gave him with a smile and an accepting heart. He was always joking and laughing with the people around him just so that they could have a better day. His laughter and playful joking will be missed by his brothers and Families. Rest in peace and we love you, you will be greatly missed.
