Darlene Carson, 70
Darlene Logan Carson, 70 of Lafayette, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital.
Born Jan. 13, 1940, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late James and Effie Jane Packard Logan. She was a 1958 graduate of Jefferson High School and attended Indiana Business College.
She married Jack A. Carson on June 8, 1958, at Peru, and he survives.
Mrs. Carson previously worked for Bank One, Twin City Dodge, Dayton Elementary School, National Homes and Central Lab.
She attended Dayton Presbyterian Church and was a past worthy matron for Dayton Chapter Eastern Star. She enjoyed her family especially playing card games with the grandchildren, reading and visiting with friends.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, John Carson (wife: Melinda) of Lafayette and Dan Carson (wife: Brenda) of Frankfort; a daughter, Tammy Klink (husband: Jim) of Lafayette; a brother, James Logan; a sister Mary Logan Noon; and three foster children, Bonnie Carter, Jamie Bell and Cindy Goetz.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Mathew, Adriane, Drew, Austin, Preston and Candy Carson, Brad and Brent Klink, Michael and Megan Martin, Andrew Quirk, and Anthony George; and 8 great-grandchildren,
Visitation 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, the Rev. David Comstock officiating. Interment Wyandotte Cemetery Tippecanoe County. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Dayton United Presbyterian Church. www.soller-baker.com

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sister. I will not be able to come to see you before the service but certainly wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and your family. I haven&t talked with you in so long, sorry I have to write to you at this time. When I looked at her picture I just know I knew her, then I read the article and saw your name. I didn&t know how to contact you in person today, so I am sending you this note.

When you have a chance, write me and I will try to keep in touch better this time.

I will be home with five grand children (who are out of school for the holiday) on Wed and then in the evening I will be at Kohl&s, as I work in the jewelry dept. part time.
