Danny K. Money Sr.

Danny K. Money Sr., 79, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Majestic Care in Lafayette.  He was born April 1, 1946, in Frankfort, IN, to the late Milford Money and Dora (Quackenbush) Carney.

Dan graduated from Frankfort High School in 1964 and served in the Army from 1965 to 1968.  On December 31, 1977, he married Deborah Barrett in Lafayette, and she survives.

Dan was a Police Officer for Lafayette Police Department for 22 years.  He then worked as a Court Bailiff for the Tippecanoe County Sheriff Department for 10 years.  Previously he had been an EMT in Lafayette.

He was an active member of Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church (The Branch Wesleyan Church) and had taught Bible Study, served as Treasure and was former Vice Chairman of LBA.

Dan was former President of Fraternal Order of Police Arman Lodge and chairman of the Trustees.  He was past President of Tippecanoe County Cystic Fibrosis Association and had served on the state board of directors for the Indiana Cystic Fibrosis Association.

Surviving along with his wife are his children Deanna (Wes) Lowery of Kirklin, Sandra Money of Lafayette, Danny (Christie) Money, Jr. of West Lafayette, Michael Money of Olathe, KS, Keith (Amber) Money of Delphi, Paul (Susan) Money of Porter, 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Also surviving are his siblings Laura Boggs of Lafayette, Patty (Terry) Timmons, Mark (Brenda) Timmons and Larry Timmons all of Frankfort.  Dan was preceded in death by his stepmother Lillian Good Money and stepfather Art Carney.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.   Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Pastor Tom Schmidt officiating.  Interment will be at Spring Vale Cemetery in Lafayette, IN.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Tippecanoe County Cystic Fibrosis Association.
