Daniel Joseph Andres, 54, of Lafayette, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 8:16 PM of Multiple Myeloma complications due to Emphysema and Pneumonia. He was surrounded by love when he passed. This isn't just about me as his wife, but about everyone who loves, cares and was annoyed by Dan. He touched many lives in big and small ways on a regular basis. He was a role model with a huge heart. He knew that having a wonderful family and wife, beautiful daughters and son-in-laws, and a crowd of grandchildren around him were the treasures of life. His work title was “maintenance man”, but he was a jack of all trades. His standard motto was “If a man can build it, a man can fix it”. There was nothing he couldn't do. He is survived by his mother, Doris J. Andres, father, Jack Andres (wife Janice), his siblings, Jo Reynolds (husband C.J.), Cheryl Salvia (husband Dominic), Jackie Douglas (husband Cooper), Denise Lade (husband Roy), Denny Andres, Lynda Freeland (husband Ron) and Michelle Andres, and was loved by his numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, his daughters, Stacy Carrothers (husband Chuck), and Danielle Crume (husband Jacob), his loving wife, Cynthia, and grandkids, Adrian, Mitchell, Autumn, Austin, Dane, Destiny, James, Summer, and Motley, as well as loving family on the wife's side. He has left us way too soon and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Dan's life will be 5:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909. Upon request of the family, dress casually and wear Dan's favorite color, blue. And out of respect for the family it is asked that smoking be done off premises. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Riley Children's Hospital, 30 South Meridian Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204-3509.
