It is with Profound sadness that we share the passing of Dana Lee Buckles, who left us unexpectedly on January 10, 2025, at the age of 59.

She was born on October 13, 1965, in Lafayette to Nancy J Banta. She was a 1984 graduate of McCutcheon High School. She married her high school sweetheart Mark S Buckles on May 12, 1984, he survives. Dana worked for Wal-Mart for 26 years as an accountant until she retired.

Dana was a woman with the strength of many and loved with her whole heart. She spent the majority of her time with her grandchildren and crocheted in her free time. She also had a love for collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.

If you were a part of her life, she made sure to make you feel all the love.

Along with her husband Mark, she is survived by 2 children, Thomas Buckles and Megan (Curtis) Ventresca of Lafayette; 2 granddaughters, Kali Love and Holly Love; and 2 sisters, Terri Charles of Lafayette, and Amanda Smith of Avon.

Dana was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy (Jackson) Banta; her grandmother, Jane Louis Dargis; and her in-laws, Donald and Nancy Buckles Jr.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909.

Service will be at 10:00 am, Monday, January 20, 2025, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, In 47909.

Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 West 350 North, West Lafayette, IN 47909.

I love Dana and she will Be greatly missed. She was such a beautiful person. The truest form of a woman, wife, friend, sister, mother and so dearly loved her granddaughters. My prayers and love go out to the family as I know she is going to be a huge missing piece in the everyday life as she is for me. Dear friend I know you've taken your rightful place right beside Jesus. I'm happy you are no longer in pain, but selfishly want you here.

To all of Dana's family I extend my condolences. I was fortunate to work closely with this wonderful lady only a handful of times but oh the memories. We shared good stories and sad and we laughed until we cried. God's realm has truly gained a most lovely spirit to shine His love and sing His praises. LOVE you Dana dear.

I am so sorry to hear of Dana's passing. We worked together at walmart. Dana is a beautiful person inside and out. She will be dearly missed.

To my older sister! In Childhood we did not understand the gift wrapped up in a greater plan. Time has taught us about the bond of love, and through that love we have chosen friendship. We have learned together, sharing good times and the bad, and no matter what, there has always been love. You are my sister always, my best friend forever.

My heart is broken at the passing of my dear friend. She was the kindest and most genuine person you could know. I never heard Dana speak an unkind word about anyone. We have been friends since middle school and I have seen her go thru many hardships but she always stayed positive and gave the outcome to the man upstairs. I know she was greeted by her Mother and dear Grandmother. He called her home before we were ready but she is in good hands. Prayers to Mark and the entire family. I will miss her for all of my days.
