Daletta S. Rehwinkel

Daletta S. Rehwinkel, 65, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.  She was born August 23, 1952, in Logansport to the late Daley and Virginia Draper West.

Daletta graduated from Northwestern High School in Kokomo and Ivy Tech College with a degree in accounting.  On June 17, 1978, she married James Rehwinkel in Young America and he survives. 

Daletta worked at Warren Industries for 15 years.  She had also worked at Essex Wire and the Indiana Veterans Home.  Daletta enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and gardening.

Surviving along with her husband are her children Kimberly A. Stine of Lafayette, James W. (Laurie Fleenor) Rehwinkel of West Lafayette, Justin D. (Kelli) Rehwinkel of Lafayette, Christopher L. (Ashley Farrell) Rehwinkel of Lafayette, grandchildren Cassie, Jessica, Anthony, Brittney, Colton, Kearston, Cade, Courtney, Cameren, Tatum, Lilah, Lincoln and a great grandchildren Marcus, Ares and Emily.  Also surviving are her siblings Marcia Davenport of Walton, Thomas (Paige) West of Cameron Park, CA, Hubert (Pam) West of Bunker Hill and Jill (Jerry) Brankle of Walton.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.   Service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel.  Entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Daletta’s memory.
