Connie graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1960 and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1963. On September 20, 1969, she married Melvin Elliott in Rensselaer, IN, and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2008.

Connie was a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 40 years and retired in November of 2004.

She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Retirees Club. Connie enjoyed playing cards, dominos, watching Purdue Sports, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, going to nursing class gatherings and acitvities with the St. Ann’s Church ladies.

Surviving are her daughters Jennifer Bohan of Lafayette, Stefanie Elliott of West Point, grandson Jacob Bohan. Also surviving is her brother Jim (Pam) Byron of Elkhart, several nieces, nephews, great nieces nephews, 2 sisters-in-laws and cousins. Connie was preceded in death by her son-in-law Jeff Bohan.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Friday, February 23, 2024, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 612 Wabash Avenue, Lafayette. Interment will be at West Point Cemetery in West Point, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Point Volunteer Fire Department or Lafayette Catholic Schools in Connie’s memory.

I was so sorry to see this. I worked with Connie at St. E and enjoyed working with her. I also enjoyed seeing her at the Purdue games. I wanted to send my condolences and sympathies to the family. RIP

I'm so sorry to hear of Connie's passing. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. May God give you comfort, strength, and peace through this difficult time. We were cared for many times as patients. We grew up in West Point. She will truly be missed. RIP my friend.

My sincere sympathy at the loss of your Mom and Grandma. She was so proud of all of you. Connie was a good nurse friend. We enjoyed so many lunches together with the members of St. E Class of 1963. We will miss her dry sense of humor. I am so sorry to be unable to attend her funeral Mass because I am in Dauphin Island, Al. until March 15. My prayers are with all of you.
