Charlotte “Char” Damms Brunson, 80, died July 7, 2018, at Creasy Springs Health Campus, Lafayette, IN. 

She was born October 16, 1937, in Seven Valleys, PA to Augustus and Mary Ness Damms.  Charlotte married Edward H. Brunson on June 30, 1961, Cicero, IL, and he is deceased.

Charlotte attended elementary school in a one room school for 8 years in PA, and graduated from Spring Grove High School in PA in 1955.

She worked at the Dentist Supply Co. in York, PA, The Goss Co. in Cicero, IL, and then moved to Bethany, IL, in 1968.  In 1971, she moved to Clarks Hill, IN, and worked for Tippecanoe School Corporation for 3 years.  She and her husband owned Darts Plus for 6 years and then she went back to TSC till her retirement in December 2004.

Her hobbies included bird watching, was an avid walker, crocheting, golfing, bowling and finding four leaf clovers.  Loved watching her grandchildren play sports, Purdue Women’s basketball, the Colts, Pacers, Cubs and Purple Hat Club. Char was a member of Brady Lane Church.

Surviving are two sons, William L. (Dee) of West Lafayette, and George of Lafayette, one sister, Patricia (Bill) Helfrich, both of Manchester, PA, also survive.  Three grandsons, Shane, Tanner and Jacob. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., followed by the service at 11:00 am. Entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
