Catalina Leyva Cardenas Jara, 78, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.
She was born December 28, 1941, in Totatiche, Jalisco, to Maximiliano Leyva Jara and Rafaela Cardenas Urena.
she married Secundino Jara Sanchez and he survives.
Surviving along with her husband are her children, Francisco (Cucu) Jara, Juan (Lili) Jara, Antonia (Jose Orozco) Jara, Mauro (Lupe) Jara, Jose Luis (Ann Ruth) Jara, Carlos (Christina) Jara, Yolanda (Beto Madrid) Jara, Elena (Ruben Ortega) Jara, Christobal (Susy) Jara, Reynaldo (Bety) Jara, Miguel (Sylvia) Jara and Maria (Gilberto del Real) Jara. Also surviving are forty grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Catalina has eleven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday January 7, 2020 at Soller- Baker Funeral Home 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette. Burial will be in Totatiche, Mexico.
