Carole S. High, 72, of Lafayette, passed away at 1:47 am Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at IU Arnett Hospital. Carole was born April 30, 1942, in Williamsport, to the late Delbert and Goldie Kochel Hurst. She graduated from Boswell High School in 1960 and on May 6, 1970 she married Lloyd High in Lafayette. He survives. Carole attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving along with her husband are two sons, Richard High (Angie) of Beech Grove, Edward High (Heather) of Moffat, CO; a brother Rex Hurst (Greta) of Lafayette, along with four grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Hurst. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, October 31, 2014 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with Funeral Services to follow on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 10:00 am at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909. Rev. David Doane will be officiating. Burial will follow at Rainsville Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute in Carole's name to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
