Carol L. Hamilton, 76, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at her home.
She was born September 10, 1949, in Lafayette, IN. Carol attended Lafayette Jefferson High School and on January 10, 1986, she married Michael E. Hamilton in Lafayette and he survives.
Carol enjoyed camping at Lake Waveland with friends and family. She also enjoyed shopping at Sam’s Club, HSN, QVC or wherever she could find something that was on sale. She loved to ride the golf cart in the neighborhood and stop and gossip with whoever was outdoors at the time. She always enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband are her children Sharla A. (Linda) Pritts of Lafayette, Scott (Megan) Niemantsverdriet of Lafayette, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Charles W. Bilyeu, Phyllis M. Walker, Michael E. Walker and 1 brother.
Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until the time of the service at 2:30 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Dr. Will Miller officiating. Interment will be at Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette, IN.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund in Carol’s memory.
