Candice “Candy” M. Hofferth Connell, 48, of Frankfort, passed away surrounded by love on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at IU Health Arnett Hospital.

She was born September 21, 1971 in Hammond to the late Janice and John Hofferth.

She served honorable in the United States Navy form 1989-1994.

Candy worked at the Wesley Manor in Frankfort as a LPN, being an advocate tirelessly for her patients for the past twenty years.

She was active in her community, particularly with Frankfort’s unified neighborhoods.

Candy leaves behind her fiancé Larry L. Laughner Jr. of Frankfort, she was an amazing mother to her daughters Alexis Bear (Cameron) of Lafayette and Darby Kinnett (Justin) of Frankfort. Two bonus children whom she loved as her own ,Josh Laughner ( Kelby) of Indianapolis, and Hilary Laughner (Becca) of Lafayette. Her favorite light in her life was being a NANA to Landon, Charlie, Emery, and Aiden and an aunt to Kayla and Gavin. A loving sister to her brothers Eddie (Lisa) Hofferth and Jeremy (Angel) Hofferth and Jason

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday at Soller- Baker Funeral Home 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette.

Service will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Soller- Baker Funeral Home Friday 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, Lewis Wheeler officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to: Any Local Animal Shelter
