Oh Grant, I am So Sorry for your loss! I had no idea until now! I remember meeting him when he was little and it sounds like you and Melody did a fantastic job raising him! I can’t imagine the pain you and your family have endured, however our only comfort is our faith in Jesus Christ and knowing Brent is now with him our Savior! My prayers are with you and your family and praying you feel some comfort that he is with our Savior! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I got close to him as a neighbor. He took care of my dog and cat several times when I traveled. We shared many good conversations. I had no idea how educated he was until I read the obituary but it adds up. Don't want to try to it put it here but a Jack London quote beginning with "I would rather be ashes than dust..." is appropriate and a favorite quote. Jack London only had 40 years so I'm seeing a link. I will miss Brent and "use my time" as Jack London said and did. It was good to know Brent.

Goodman family, I am so heartbroken for you and will pray fervently for you. Brent was such an amazing person, always with a smile on his face and a kind word to share. Back in our young ECC days, he would always call me “shorty” whenever he saw me. Since he was not the tallest, he loved being taller than me! I cannot think of a time when he didn’t have a smile on his face. The world truly lost a light with his passing.
