Brenda Kay Green, 66, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023, in her home, surrounded by her family.

Brenda was born on January 26, 1957, in Lafayette, to the late Richard Holsclaw and Bettie Smith.

She graduated from Southwestern High School. She worked for many years at Landis and Gyr. Brenda retired from TRW manufacturing in February 2020.

Brenda loved fishing, gardening, watching the birds and squirrels in her yard, and spending time with her family.

Brenda is survived by her 2 daughters, Heather (Jake) Green and Jenni Green of Lafayette; 2 siblings, Vicki Mayes of West Lafayette, and Richard (Elaine) Mayes of Lafayette. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Malina Green of Anderson, Tabbi Hurst of Lafayette, and Elijah Kueker of Lafayette. As well as 8 nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend, Debbie Buettgenbach of Brookston.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Smith; father, Richard Holsclaw; brother, Keith Devoss; and sister, Linda Cain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Brenda’s name to the American Cancer Society and Natalie’s Second Chance Animal Shelter.

Visitation will be from 1pm until time of service at 2pm, Tuesday August 1, 2023, at Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twcykenham Blvd, Lafayette IN 47909 with Pastor Chester Tague Jr. officiating.
