Bonnie L. (Pitts) Gick, 80, of Lafayette, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born November 13, 1942, in Kokomo, to the late William and Erma (Hinote) Pitts.

Bonnie graduated from Southwestern High School in 1961.

She married George Robert “Bob” Gick on August 30, 1963 and he survives.

Bonnie was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown.  She then worked for several years at various fabric and craft stores before retiring.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church.  She was an avid reader who also enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Surviving with her husband George Robert “Bob” Gick of Lafayette, is a daughter, Sheryll (Dennis) Dwyer of Cypress, TX, two sons, Keith Gick of Lafayette and Mark (Natalie) Gick of Attica and a brother, Larry Pitts of Crawfordsville.  Also surviving are five grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew Dwyer, Clint and Jimmy Gick and Amanda Chavis as well as seven great grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Pitts.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1024 Elizabeth Street, Lafayette, with Pastor Terry Chase officiating.  Entombment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.

In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute in Bonnie’s name to Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
