Bonita E. Guinn

Bonita E. Guinn, 64, of West Lafayette, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital.
Born July 30, 1946, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Leona Cuter Rardon of Lafayette and the late Leroy Rardon. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School.
On Feb. 22, 1965, she married David Paul Guinn Sr. in Cleveland, Tenn., and he survives.
Mrs. Guinn was a service worker at Purdue University for 15 years before retiring this year.
She enjoyed watching football and basketball, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Surviving with her husband and mother are a daughter, Angie D. Griffith (husband: Dwayne Murray) of Lafayette; a son, Kevin C. Guinn (wife: Rachael) of West Lafayette; a brother, J.R. Rardon of Pittsburg; six sisters, Diane Cole (husband: Carl) and Trudy Haley (husband: Tim), both of Lafayette, Linda Soto (husband: Memo) of West Lafayette, Debbie Rardon of Brookston, Joan Rardon of Florida and Robin Sparks (husband: Terry) of Pittsburg; and stepmothers, Opal Noe of Lafayette and Mary Rardon of Pittsburg.
Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Jessica N. and Jacob T. Griffith, Erick D. Murray, Lindsey K., Noah T. and Camryn E. Guinn; 3 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Guinn of West Lafayette. She was preceded in death by a son, David P. Guinn Jr.; a sister, Susan Fields; and a granddaughter, Rhiannon M. Murray.
Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the 3 p.m. service on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909, with Evangelist Michael J. Duff officiating. Interment will follow at Battle Ground Cemetery.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Bonnie, I was her supervisor in Young Grad House for about 10 yrs. She was a great worker and it was a pleasure to have her on staff.
We had a lot of fun. She was without a doubt one of the best.
