Beulah R. Cole, 93, of West Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus.
She was born April 7, 1930, in Montmorenci, to the late Clinton and Olga (Chase) Sheets.
Beulah graduated from Montmorenci High School and Huffer Beauty College.
On August 7, 1948, Beulah married Thomas William Cole at Montmorenci Unted Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2020.
Beulah owned and operated Curlette Beauty Shop for several years before retiring. She also worked as a Tupperware consultant, a detasseling foreman for several summers and as a school bus driver for Tippecanoe School Corporation.
She was a member of Forever Grace Church, served on the Montmorenci Cemetery Board, St. Andrew United Methodist Women, Edgewood Club and Shelby Historical Association.
Beulah enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, quilting, going to auctions, and watching sports.
Surviving is a son, Kenneth (wife Barbara) Cole of Terre Haute, a daughter, Bonita (husband Allan) Heinze of Clarksville, VA, a daughter-in-law, Pamela Cole of West Lafayette, and a bonus daughter, Sandra “Sam” Oswalt. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Beulah was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Clinton Cole, two sisters, Lillian Mills and Fern Sims, as well as two brothers, John and Clinton Sheets, Jr.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, with Rev. Gary Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Montmorenci Cemetery in Montmorenci.
