Betty C Collins 96 passed away peacefully on Thursday October 22 at 11:48 pm. She was born in South Chile to Nemo and Marisabel (Jara Ariaz) Castillo on September 28, 1930.
She was a very accomplished student at a private school, Santa cruise, Sisters of the Holy Cross. Through testing Betty was able to advance grade levels several times. She loved to learn and study languages. She could speak 4 fluently.
She married Boyd W. Collins in 1952. While she was continuing to study she would translate from English to Spanish necessary documents for professional institutes.
Later Boyd and Betty moved the US to begin their life in America. Having no children they traveled the world for pleasure but also for Boyd’s jobs from time to time.
They loved to entertain and were social minded. She enjoyed writing and reading. She also enjoyed public speaking. She was a very private person with very few but wonderful friends she kept over the years
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Boyd.
