Bette J. Treida

Bette J. Treida, 83, of rural Tippecanoe County, died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. She was born April 13, 1932, in Tippecanoe County, IN, to the late Carl and Emma Gregg Felix. Bette graduated from Buck Creek High School and on August 19, 1950 she married Harold G. Treida in Delphi and he survives. Bette worked for Lafayette Bank and Trust for 21 years and retired as an Assistant Vice President. She attended Buck Creek United Methodist Church, Heritage United Methodist Church, Dayton United Methodist Church and was a member of Hope Chapter, Order of Eastern Star #376. Bette enjoying sewing, gardening, camping, traveling, singing, playing the organ and piano.   She loved attending her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events.  Surviving along with her husband are her children Norman H. Treida (Glenda) of Flower Mound, TX, Darla K. Fall (Douglas) of West Lafayette, Sandra L. Greeley (Charles) of Lafayette, Steven L. Treida (Rita) of West Lafayette, grandchildren Christopher, Erika, Ashley, Jason, Gregory, Matthew, Laura, Grant, Dustin and great grandchildren Leyton, Noah, Lucy, Owen and Kai. Also surviving are her sisters Lorene Goodnight and Beverly Mabis both of Lafayette. Bette was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Bette was very much loved and will be greatly missed by her family. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West. Service will be 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Earl Owen officiating. Private entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute to the Alzheimer's Association in Bette’s memory.
