Berniece L. Danaher, 88, of Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 4:25 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012, at St. Elizabeth East.
She was born July 10, 1924, in Round Grove to the late Herman and Edna DeBoy Mills.
On December 2, 1944, she married Charles B. Danaher in Lafayette. He died December 14, 1978.
Berniece was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting and watching sports.
Surviving are two sons Mike (wife: Nicky) Danaher and Pat (wife: Linda) Danaher, both of Lafayette; two sisters, Mary (husband: George) Baker, of West Lafayette and Elizabeth Slattery, of Speedway; a brother, John (wife: Elsie) Mills, of Brookston; three grandchildren, Joey (wife: Laura) Danaher, Jenny (husband: Andy) Blasky and James (wife: Jenny) Danaher; and six great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jocelyn, Kirsten, Jasmin, Morgan and Drew.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Ralph Mills; and three sisters Sylvia McDaniels, Vivian Bartholomew and Florence Young.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. on Monday September 24, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Boulevard Lafayette, IN 47909, Fr. Daniel Gartland officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
