Bentley M. Andersen, 58, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023, surrounded by loved ones in his home.
Born on March 22, 1965, in Lafayette to Stephen Andersen and the late Helen (Morrison) Andersen. Bentley was a 1983 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. On January 17, 1992, he married his best friend and love of his life, Kathy.
Bentley served proudly as a radioman in the United States Navy from 1984 to 1992. With a commitment to his craft, he dedicated over 30 years to the IBEW Local 668 Electricians Union, contributing his skills and passion to the field.
Known for his larger-than-life personality and a smile that could brighten any room, Bentley was a kindhearted and giving man. His love for family and friends knew no bounds. He was a passionate coach for his sons’ sports teams, and was affectionately known as “GB” by his grandchildren. A devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Bentley also enjoyed his pool house, often spending quality time by the pool, grilling, and sharing a drink with loved ones.
Bentley leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. Alongside his wife, Kathy, he is survived by his father, Stephen Andersen, stepmother Kathy Hyman-Andersen; 2 children, Mercedes (Daniel) White of Lafayette and Cord (Alyssa) Andersen of West Lafayette; 2 grandchildren, Riley McClure and Kya White, and was blessed to have another grandchild on the way. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Margo (Dan) Kerrigan and Corina (Scott) Riggins; niece, Jordan Cummins and nephew, Cooper Cummins.
In addition to his mother, Helen (Morrison) Andersen, Bentley was preceded in death by his son, Josh Andersen.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled to take place on Saturday, the 6th, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eagles, located at 3208 S 18th St, Lafayette, IN 47909.
