Barbara L. Oldfield passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 11th, 2018. She was born September 15th 1932 to Walter and Minnie Alleman and was raised in Marion, IN with her siblings Hope Downam and Carl Alleman. Barbara was a registered nurse for over 40 years. She worked most of her career as an emergency room nurse and house supervisor for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
On October 9th, 1952, Barbara married Ronald “Dean” Oldfield. They shared thirty-two years of marriage until his death in 1984. Dean and Barbara are survived by their daughters Theresa (Mike) Craig, Melody (Dennis) Holladay, and Autumn Oldfield; Grandchildren Jill (Jon) Lauzon, Josh Craig, Patrick Holladay, and Jennifer (Derrick) Holladay-Davis; Great-Grandchildren Jackson and Hayden Davis.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 15th, 2018 at the Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens.
