Ashley Sue-Ann Aschenberg Johnson who was born March 8, 1990 in Lafayette, IN. passed away April 2, 2012 at Desert Regional Medical Center, Palm Springs, CA.
Ashley graduated from Jefferson HS in 2009 and married LCpl Nathaniel Johnson on December 29, 2010 in Lafayette, IN. They resided in Twenty Nine Palms, CA.
Surviving along with her husband Nathaniel is a step daughter Paisley Fields; Nathaniel?s parents Pamela and Peter Johnson; her mother Christina Biggs McCurdy and step father Sean; her father James Aschenberg and stepmother Laura Hasseld; a sister Jennifer Aschenberg; stepsisters Emily and Mary Grace Hollandbeck; a step brother Aaron Hollandbeck; maternal grandparents Claude (Ed) and Dorothy Biggs of Lafayette; step grandparents Vicki and John Brown of Lafayette and Leland and Joyce Hassled (“Grammy” & “Pop pop”) of Lafayette.
She is also survived by many caring and loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents William and Dorothy Aschenberg.
Ashley, being a Marine?s wife, enjoyed outdoor adventures with her husband, photography, spending time with her family and friends, music, swimming, and her dog Thor.
There will be a celebration of life held from 11until 1:00 pm on Thursday April 12, 2012 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 12 at St. James Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Meadow View Cemetery, Lafayette, IN.
Donations can be made to the Hanson House Foundation; 380 East Paseo el Mirador, Palm Springs, CA 92262.

I am so sorry I can&t even put into words the sorrow I feel for Nat and Ashley&s family. I did not know Ashley well only met her a couple times and she was always very quiet. I do know she made Nat happy so that made me happy. My prayers are with everyone. Nat I am there for you it&s my turn to push you home.
