Arlen D. Brown, 98, of West Lafayette, IN, died at 4:30 PM Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus. He was born January 18, 1914, in Huntington, IN to the late John and Flora Day. He served in the United States Navy from October 31,1942 to November 2,1945 serving as an Aviation Chief Machinist. On May 31,1959 he married Marcia Bratton in Indianapolis, IN and she survives. He graduated from and Purdue University with an Agriculture Education Degree he later became a professor in the Ag Engineering dept. and retired in 1979. Mr. Brown was amember of the American legion Post #11 and serving on the firing squad for many years. Surviving is his Wife- Marcia Brown , West Lafayette, IN.Private services will be held at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel followed by entombment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens with military rites by American Legion post #11.
