Anthony W. Vick

Anthony W. Vick, 69, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 29, 1957, in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late George M. Vick and Wanda J. (Metrogen) Linder.

Anthony graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1976.

On December 10, 1977, he married Kimberly J. Taylor, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, in Dupo, Illinois, and she survives.

Anthony worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad as a crane operator for 41 years, from 1976 until his retirement in 2017.

Anthony enjoyed hot rods, motorcycles, and attending dirt track races (sprint cars, flat track and motocross). In his younger years, he also enjoyed basketball. You could often find him in the barn shop repairing vehicles or tinkering with his tools. He was very practical, worked with his hands, and was a jack of all trades. He could fix just about anything. His laughter was contagious, and while he was a man of few words, his presence was big. He loved to ride his Harley with Kim. His three girls—Holly (aka Sugar Plum), Lindsey (Sweet Pea), and Chelsea (Pumpkin)—and his boy, Tim, were the apple of his eye, and his ten grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Surviving, along with his wife, are his children: Holly N. (Allen) Myles of West Lafayette; Lindsey D. (Daniel) Leazenby of Camden; Chelsea M. Redwine of Whitestown; and Timothy L. (Kenzie) Vick of Lafayette; and grandchildren: Blaine, Avery, and Adaline Myles; Colt and Henry Leazenby; Jade, Rowyn, and Trey Redwine; and Paisley and Porter Vick. Also surviving are his brother, Jack Vick, of San Diego, CA, and his niece, Sheena Vick, of Salt Lake City, UT.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Tim Vick and Perk Vick.

Anthony loved God and, in recent days, found comfort in knowing he was held in His grace and love.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Jeff Johns will officiate.
