Dear Pat and Beth,
I want you to know that I am very sorry for the loss of your sister and mother. She was a very special friend of mine, having taken me under her wing when I was a new employee with GTE. We bonded and remained in contact for all those years since 1954. She shared her home with me for many visits and we never ran out of topics of conversation. I visited her as often as I could during the six months I reside in Indiana, but was gone for six months while wintering in Texas. Of course, when I returned for the Christmas holidays, I would spend some time with her and to reassure her I would be back in April. She was such a caring and loving person. I know your hearts are heavy with her passing, but I am sure your memories are full of happy times. I was out of town and just learned of her passing and funeral services this afternoon when I returned home. I feel so bad that I could not be there for you this morning for her viewing and following services. I pray that the peace of our Lord is with each of you and your family members. Love to each, Carole
