Anna L. Corwin, 100, of Lafayette, died at 5:25 PM Friday, October 18, 2013 at St. Elizabeth East. She was born September 6, 1913, in Nevada, MO, to the late Frank and Mae Beck Hinkel. On July 16, 1935 she married Francis H. Corwin in West Point. He passed away September 7, 1983. Anna had worked as a sales associate at JC Penny for 23 years before retiring in 1973. She was a member of Elston Presbyterian Church, Church Women United, USA Sr Citizens, United Presbyterian Women, Bunco Club, and enjoyed sewing, cooking, word puzzles, square dancing, Bible study and reading. Surviving are two daughters Marcella Maynard (husband Marshall), Carol Morris (husband Roy) both of Romney; two sons Jerry Corwin (wife Sharon) of West Point; Rodney Corwin (wife Karin) of Lanexa, VA; fourteen Grandchildren, twenty four Great Grandchildren; seven Great Great Grandchildren and a sister-in-law Pauline Hinkel of Lafayette. Anna was preceded in death by five brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be 5:00 until 7:00 pm Monday, October 21, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909 with funeral services being held at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Elston Presbyterian Church 375 Elston Rd. Lafayette, IN 47905. Pastor Rick Ryan will be officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute in Anna's name to Elston Presbyterian Church 375 Elston Rd. Lafayette, IN 47905.
