I got to know Ankit in middle school and he never failed to make me laugh. Every class we shared was never boring. It was an honor to have met him.

I never had the honor of meeting Ankit. I attended his service today to pay respect to this selfless young man and to support his family during this incredibly difficult time. I can see how much he was loved by those who had the privilege of being a part of his life, no matter how long or short that period of time may have been. Through the testimonies of those gathered and memories shared today, it is obvious that Ankit touched and inspired many. During his short time here, we were meant to love him fiercely and learn from him so that when he was ready to leave this world, we could take that knowledge and love and inspiration that Ankit bestowed and be his vessels in making change. He left incredibly large shoes to fill and placed upon us a responsibility to make the world a better place for everyone in it. Ankit’s legacy will live on in every act of selfless service to others, through every kind word or gesture that is shared, and through the foundation dedicated to his namesake.

I'm so sorry for your loss I know saying it doesn't make it hurt any less but ankit was a great guy he and I got close during middle school and stayed friends throughout highschool he even made sure I was ok after I moved schools all the way to Santa Claus Indiana he will be deeply missed by me and many others I'm sorry to say I cannot make it tomorrow as I'm am currently deployed overseas but I will be praying for all of you if you need anything just find me on Facebook and shoot me a message

My dear Ankit ,you were very loving and very emotional person, you were pure hearted person who did not harm anyone nor tolerated anything bad happening to anyone. I wanted to spend more time with you but sad thing is that I could not able to do so.I regreted that I was not able to give you that comfort zone wherein as a brother you could vomit out all your suffering to me.Those words are still echoing in my mind which you have said while leaving India that “I will come back in summer” You are always welcome brother to come in our life again in the disguise of new family member but otherwise as well you will remain in my heart forever. When he is not with us, i still have been praying for his peace. What I am going through,not able to express in words...May God give my sister courage and strength to cope up with this unbearable loss. Hey Ankit, I Will remember you always….you will be always in my heart…I want people will remember you for your good deeds, for you compassionate heart and for your positive attitude towards Humanity. I could easily remember, when you visited India, how you were sensitive about the shopkeeper who was not able to make sale as compare to his competitor. You were aware that your purchase could hardly make a difference to his daily earning but than too you did so to boost his morale up…There are numbers of examples where you behaved the similar way to support the weaker section.You had a very big heart man…..You definitely deserved the better place and I wished you are now at peace and in an another world which encouraged humanity above all?? He left us as he could not able to disclose his sufferings to the outside world because of the rules, regulations and customs of the society we are living in and abide by.This is really sad!!! We cannot come up with his loss but let us take a pledge to make our surroundings stress free, guilt free wherein your friend and family can share their emotions, feeling with you without any stress, fear and where nobody would mock out/neglect their sufferings. There should be some relaxation in the rules and regulations of the society considering the sensitivity of the situation. Mental health has always been neglected or treated with different eye.People do hesitate to disclose it openly, just to keep themselves well along with the normal people. It’s really high time for all of us to understand that these people do require love, compassion, association, care and medication. Let us spread the awareness regarding the mental health which should be recognised as one of the important aspect of well being.????
