Anita Ruth Crumbo, 84, of Lafayette, passed away at 8:56 pm on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Monticello Health Care.

She was born February 10, 1932 in Elizaville to the late William M. Downey and Olive M. (Tucker) Downey Light.

On September 26, 1952 Anita married Robert C. Crumbo in Dayton. He passed away on October 7, 2012.

Anita had worked at State Farms Reginal Office for 17 years as an assistant in underwriting before retiring in 1987.

Surviving are three daughters, Jan Knight (husband Tom) of West Lafayette,
Carla Nydegger (husband Rick) of Monticello and Kathy Skiles (husband Gary) of Lafayette; three brothers, Bob Downey (wife Marlena) and Dave Downey (wife Sharon) both of Lafayette and Jim Downey (wife Carol) of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Irma Loft of Lafayette and Linda Michael (husband John) of Mulberry. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Kraig Knight, Tracy and Clint Moore, Monica Rennick, and Shanna Bridge, 5 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by two grandsons Clayton Moore, Rob Knight and a great granddaughter Thea Moore.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the service at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with Pastor Keith Raderstorf officiating.

 Burial will follow at Wyandotte Cemetery.
