Amber N. Virgin passed away on Tuesday, February 23,2021 at her residence after a long battle with Neurofibromatosis type 2.

She was born December 11,1981, in Lafayette, to David and Jana (Biesecker) Virgin.

Amber graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and attended IUPUI.

She was an active member of Crestview Community Church. If anyone needed prayers lifted, Amber was your gal. Even with her own struggles, she was the first one to pray for another person’s needs. She also was involved with the Midwest Children’s Tumor Foundation. Where she and family and friends participated in numerous marathons, half marathons and 5ks.

Amber was very athletic in her younger years, playing softball and basketball. Amber was also an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed watching the Cubs and Boilermakers. One of her favorite things to do was watch her nieces and nephews play in any sport they were involved in. You could always catch her and her dad sitting behind home plate watching every pitch.

Surviving with her parents are two sisters, Crystal (Jason) Fisher of Newburgh, IN and Heather (Joshua) Levchak of Lafayette and her grandfather, Charles Virgin of Mulberry. Also surviving are the loves of her life, six nieces and nephews. Madison, Matthew, Megan and Morganne Fisher and Noah and Elizabeth Levchak. Her dog Addie also held a very special place in her heart. They were two peas in a pod!

Amber was preceded in death by grandparents Anita Virgin, Kenneth Biesecker, Patricia Biesecker Culbertson and George Culbertson.

Following COVID restrictions, mask and social distancing will be required.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Crestview Community Church, 1400 Ortman Lane, Lafayette, IN with Pastor Thom Redmond officiating. I remember Amber when she was in the Kossuth Street Baptist Church youth group. I was so impressed with her then and over the years here and there she would message me. I remember fondly one time she wouldn't support me as missionary unless I could gauruntee numbers of salvations. I had to break it to her it didn't work that way. The Lord chooses who he chooses and we are to be faithful. But she so much wanted to make impact for Him and couldn't go herself so she wanted to make sure those who did, didn't waste their blessings. Her perseverance was a testimony as I know it was a hard burden for her and her family yet hopefully now she and they know that she did make impact, on me and so many others. Amber Nicole-Virgin, enjoy the Father now as you are healed and can see and hear sights that nothing compares to on Earth. See you soon. Thank you to her family as well and may God comfort you for this long journey you also took. Amber was a blessing and we all got to experience that blessing this long because of you.
